Media Training
Knowing how to effectively handle the media is crucial to protecting the reputation and image of your organisation. Image Line will help prepare you and your organisation for the day it is exposed to the cameras, the microphones and the notepads of the all-seeing media industry.
Our combination of experience in journalism, marketing, business and communications will help you succeed where others falter, be it locally or nationally. Whether it was something you should have said - or perhaps not said - you still got it wrong. Television, radio and newspapers can be unforgiving - your words, your tone and your appearance can be critical.
Be ready to face the media when they call at your office and ensure you won't end up thinking - "I wish I hadn't said that!"
We have extensive experience in media relations training and crisis management training and can help prepare your staff for any type of scenario and media interaction including:
TELEVISION - In a formal setting, it nearly always takes priority over radio and newspaper interviews. They usually prefer 10-20 second clips.
RADIO - Will usually be pre-recorded. You may not be seen, so words, pitch, tone and volume are even more important. 20 to 30 second clips are the norm.
NEWSPAPERS - They need quotes, but try using some positive spin. Techniques for making them print what you want!
INTERNET/EMAIL - A new opportunity, but with different rules.
Crisis Media Training
A mishandled crisis can severely damage your business. Handle it in a well-prepared media savvy manner, and your business could even become stronger. We advise on handling the media in all its different areas, retrieving lost ground, and running an efficient and responsive management team.
